March holiday tasks


  • If you are participating in the stdot essay, remember to do so by the end of your holidays to claim the 30 points. Refer to the earlier posts for instructions.
  • You are tasked to complete 10 English Achiever Exercises. The window period will only be open on Monday, 17 March and will close on Friday, 21 March. Each exercise has a time limit of 30 minutes and I will capture only the results of your first attempt which will be made known to your parents via a report in Term 2.   • Try out the Conversation Cards with your family members. They are great to start conversations with.

Misinterpretation and Art piece


  • Since some of you have misinterpreted the LRD task, I have decided to extend the deadline to tomorrow for the submission of your LRD/Spelling book. Remember that if you are not writing the essay, then you must do a short write-up (at least 50 words) in your exercise book. However, if you choose to do the essay, remember to use the narrative plan and submit the essay (at least 200 words long) to both stdot and me. For the LRD/Spelling book, you need only write "I am sending my essay to stdot".
  • Your Zentangle art piece is due tomorrow.

LRD task

Refer to LRD (11 March 2014).
If you are participating in the activity, please remember to send me a copy of your essay via email. Also, by doing so, you will automatically qualify for 30 points and if your essay is published, you will receive 300 points for your group. The due date for this task is 23 March.

However, if you decide to not participate in the essay activity, you are required to write your response to the prompts:

  • How would you react?
  • What would the two of you do?
You will need do a short write-up (of at least 50 words) in your Spelling / LRD book and submit it by tomorrow, 13 March.
