Holiday McOnline Homework


  • You are tasked to complete 10 McOnline Vocabulary Cloze MCQ tasks during the holidays. The window period for these tasks is from 9 June to 27 June. Click on this link to access McOnline. In addition, you need to complete the Vocab Sheet (click on the link for a copy from my dropbox) for each task. I have explained the instructions in class, but if you are still unsure, you may clarify your doubts first, with your friends, and if all else fails, with me.
  • Remember to submit your Synthesis Exercise 19 and 20 worksheet tomorrow.

    Mr Kamsari,
    If the word that we checked the dictionary for the meaning is either a verb or a adj or a adv, does it count as 1 adv, adj or verb? E.g. Blood. It is an adj so does that count as a adj in the story?

      It all depends on your passage, does the word that needs the replacement a verb, adj or adverb? Your meaning should be in the same category of the word.
      You will need to use the word in your story so it will be counted in your category word count.

      So if we use stubbornly in our story and the word is taken from the choices it is still counted as 1 adv?

    If the option is a phrase,are we still able to use it?Also,can we highlight the verbs,adjectives and adverbs?

      Hi girls, not sure what you mean but if the option is a phrase, you may of course use it in your story.
      It is fine to highlight your verbs, adj and adv, but you will still have to number them eg, v1, v2 ... adj1, adj2 ... so on.
