Homework and Synthesis Test


  • Complete LS 1.3 Part B only. Due this Monday.
Answers to Synthesis Test 3: (Corrections due Monday)
  1. John complained to his wife that the food was terrible and he wanted to speak to the manager.
  2. Mrs Jones told her son to complete his homework before he went to football practice.
  3. Mr Horemans said that he would take his children to the Bahamas during their holidays.
  4. Jason replied that we / I could go to Uncle Bob's house later that afternoon.
  5. Patrick complained that he could not believe they were making him wear that hat which made him look so ridiculous.
  6. Madam Chin answered that the principal was talking to Eugene's parents about his misbehaviour.
  7. Robert told me that he would call me as soon as he landed in Ho Chi Minh City.
  8. Mary pleaded with her husband to talk to his mother about that issue when he saw her that night.
  9. Adam said that he was cooking his wife's favourite chicken stew.
  10. Mr Gilbert reminded his subordinate to keep him updated on what was happening in the office while he was away.
  11. Dr Templeton told me to take that medicine twice a day before meals.
  12. Mr Tang confirmed that Lina would finish the proposal that evening.
  13. Ms Chen explained to Jenny that she was required to go to the headquarters and speak to Mr Jong.
  14. Kenny said that Susan would meet them for brunch the following Sunday.
  15. Susanna screamed that there was a dead cockroach on her chair.

    Dear Mr Kamsari, I think that there is an error in question 2. It should not be "went to school" but "went to football practice."

      Hi Kester,

      Thanks for alerting me to all the mistakes. Please look at the revised version.
      For Q4, you can either write we or I, as what I have included in the revised answer key.
      And ... finally, yes, you still have to bring the LRD on Monday. LRDs must be in your bag for the duration of 1 week from the date that you receive it.
