This is Ameerah. I'd just like to congratulate you on passing your PSLE with flying colours! To me, you are my 2nd family I could ever count on. I've just watched Guardians Of The Galaxy a few days ago. It was awesome! The fact that Chris Pratt did BOTH heroes for TLM and GOTG! Community Chest Donation Drive

Some things to take note:

1. Place cash or cheques in the donation envelopes. Cheques are to be made payable to “Community Chest – Children’s Day Appeal 2014”
2. Fill in your particulars on the donation envelopes and return them to me latest by 31st October 2014.    
3. Do not use the envelopes for any public or door-to-door collection.
4. Return the empty envelopes back to me, if your parents decide against making a donation.
5. The sticker sheet is used in conjunction with an activity sheet. Carry out the tasks with your family and submit the completed sheet to me.

Bring your ...

Homework and Supplementary note

Please complete the last OE Comprehension task, Task Number 5, on pages 67 to 69 of your PSLE Booklet. Remember to apply the QRAC and TGPS strategies with accompanying annotations. You are to submit your completed work tomorrow.

Also, for those who are able to spare the time, I would like you to stay on after supplementary lesson tomorrow for another 45 minutes. This is so that we will be able to complete the checking of Practice 5 paper. However, if you are not able to do so, it is perfectly alright.

Hyperbole assignment ...

What is a hyperbole?

Hyperbole is a figurative language technique where exaggeration is used to create a strong effect.  With hyperbole, the notion of the speaker is greatly exaggerated to emphasize the point.  The word “hyperbole” is actually composed of two root words: “hyper” which means “over,” and “bole” which means “to throw.”  So “hyperbole” translates roughly to “over throw” or “to throw over.”  True to it’s origins, hyperbole or language that is hyperbolic overstates a point or goes a bit too far.

Cyberwellness Workshop for Parents

I would like to encourage your parents to sign up for a parents' workshop on Cyberwellness. A flyer was given out regarding this workshop before the June holidays so this is just a gentle reminder for them.
